Yesterday, the Senate continued their consideration of S 2226, the FY 2024 National Defense Authorization Act. Four amendments were considered (one passed and three failed), none of which were of particular interest here. An agreement was reached to continue consideration today with a vote scheduled for Warnock Amendment No. 199, again not of particular interest here.

Cruz Amendment No. 421, would add a new section in Title V, Remedies for Members of the Armed Forces Discharged or Subject to Adverse Action Under the Covid–19 Vaccine Mandate. Failed by a vote of 46 to 53.
Wicker Amendment No. 1055, would add a new §1240A. Office of the Lead Inspector General for Ukraine Assistance. Failed by a vote of 51 to 48 (60 vote minimum).
Paul Amendment No. 438, would add a new §12xx. Ukraine Aid Oversight. Failed by a vote of 20 to 78.
