I posted the following to a discussion on X about the SAVE Act being considered this week in the House: “ ‘Not hard, not complex, polls at 80 something percent.’ It takes 32 pages of legislation to provide statutory description of something ‘not hard, not complex’. I remember the three days it took to get my wife’s ‘RealID’ compliant driver’s license because of name changes related to two divorces and our subsequent marriage. For people without RealID compliant identification this will be a pain in the butt.”
