I posted the following comment to a Mastodon discussion about a breach at a California sperm and egg donation bank: “@metacurity@infosec.exchange Not wanting to be too nit picky, but it looks to me like they accessed information not 'stole files'. If files were stolen, they would no longer exist on the company site. That would be much worse than the already bad information ending up in unauthorized hands.”
