I posted the following comment to a post by Metacurity on Mastodon about a ransomware attack on a public defenders office: “It does not sound like this attack is specifically tied to this defendant, but it would be an interesting way to delay a trial/conviction. Hope this does not catch on as a defense tactic (or a way to pay for defense lawyers)....”
