I posted the following comment on a discussion on Substack Notes about yesterday’s vote in the Senate on Canadian Tariffs: ““Collins, Murkowski, McConnell, and Paul” One of these people is not the same as the other three. CMM are moderate Republicans. Paul is a ‘bomb thrower’ that has never found a Republican cause that he could not oppose. Still these four are the Senators that will cause the most problems for Thune and the President. Not in every case (McConnel in particular is more likely to go along to get along) but enough that they could shape much of what happens in the next four years.”
