I posted the following comment on a discussion on Substack Notes about the working elderly: “I am 72 years old and work at a grocery store stocking shelves. I resent any implication that I do not deserve to have a job. In addition to helping pay my bills, this job is keeping me physically active and increases my health and mobility. It also keeps me interacting with people, so that helps my mental health as well. Leave the working elderly alone.”
